Taste of Livingston County - A Signature Event for Your Signature Dish
There will be a fresh flavor to one of our area’s most anticipated culinary events when the Taste of Livingston County comes to Camp Stella Maris on Tuesday, May 22. Your participation is a key ingredient in its recipe for success.
In its 20th year, The Taste of Livingston County will continue to feature a delicious variety of foods from area restaurants, but with a new venue, new organizers, and new high-impact opportunities for supporters like you.
For the first time, the event is being co-organized by the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce and The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming. The Chamber is Livingston County's leader in promoting visibility, positive perception, and growth for area businesses. The Arc is the area's largest not-for-profit assisting individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. All proceeds from the Taste of Livingston County will be split evenly between the two groups.
We are calling this a "SIGNATURE EVENT TO PROMOTE SIGNATURE DISHES," and we are excited about the possibilities this brings to you as an eatery in Livingston County. The sky is the limit as to the creativity you bring to the event this year. We will work to promote not only your business but also the Signature Dish you will be serving up at the event.
We have enclosed Participation Agreement and ask that you please indicate the Signature Dish you will serve and include a description of the dish for our use in marketing of the event. We also ask that you email a copy of your logo to Beth Doty at the Livingston County Chamber so we can include it in promotions leading up to the event.
By participating as an eatery in the Taste of Livingston County you will gain twice the promotional exposure via the combined marketing, public relations, and social media efforts of both the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce and The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming.
Originally a project of the Livingston County Health Department, and later run by Genesee Valley Health Partnership, the Taste of Livingston County made its name as a heart-healthy food tasting event. For 2017, the nutritional guidelines are being relaxed, in favor of a more general food tasting event that aligns with the shared values and aspirations of our organizations.
Our goals are to promote community inclusion and to highlight signature dishes of our local restaurants, caterers, bakeries, wineries, cideries, and breweries that encourage repeat dining opportunities throughout Livingston County.
Something special is cooking this Spring, and we hope that you will be part of it.
