From the Earth

The tenth annual From the Earth is a free event that celebrates rural living. A large variety of presentations and activities at six locations around Alfred, NY will include popular favorites like the bird walk at Foster Lake, gardens and garden talks, a timber framing shop, pottery display in a sugar shed, and an organic dairy farm. Every year new ideas are presented. Come and learn how to turn a wooden bowl, make Swiss cheese, or how to braid a rag rug. The Southern Tier Fiber Arts Guild will be doing demonstrations. Kids activities at the Alfred State Farm Garden will include story telling and how to make unique up-cycled planters.
